Coffman`s Snack Bar in Middle River

This is a very casual, small little old-fashioned Diner, that I remember from my childhood in the early sixties. When I went back to Maryland to visit family I had to get a Coffman's chili dog! If you have a hankering for some of the best chili dogs with onions, on a super soft steamed roll, and an order of real fries... You have to go.

Food was good. Made at time ordered, not premade and heated.older diner feel.

Food came out cold. Not good service

A hidden gem for those that know. If you like hot dogs, cheese burgers, milk shakes and breakfast that gives any place a run for it's money, you have to try this place. It's an icon of Middle River.

We like eating here but the new server doesn't refill drinks unless you ask... was leaving and another customer said she never even came back to their table and wasn't as pleasant as all the others... I've been a server most my life and I'm picky anyway lol... But the food is always pretty good...

I love it here. Fresh , hot comfort food. Price a little high but well worth it. Wish they had a bigger selection and a different variety of desserts but very yummy for the food the do sell. They have the best cheeseburger and gravy fries !

Quality as good as it was in the sixties.Hot dog prices have increased from $.15 to $2.50. Sure wish they still put slaw on their dogs. ( 2 dogs with the works, fries with gravy, bowl of navy bean soup and a cup of coffee. Almost Heaven ...)

Terrible experience!!! The lady messed up my order 2 times. Customers were walking behind the bar and making their our food and drinks. Very disappointed and probably will never go back again.

There is nothing, I say nothing bad at all to say about Coffman's. The staff is great, the food is great. Always clean and fresh. Not that it has to be mentioned but this place is run by all women and is AWESOME. Best French Fries and Gravy in Baltimore!

Best greasy spoon in town. Top notch spot for hearing the juiciest gossip around. Need a heart attack, this food will give it to you.

We sat outside and had an early lunch. Hot dogs cannot be beat. Lunch for two less than $20 with drinks.

I love the food here, it's always delicious and great in price. However the staff is very off putting. The old staff I loved, this new younger staff has awful customer service. Today I saw a girl eat a hot dog and text behind the bar - ignoring a customer trying to get her attention. When he finally did she made sure to finish her text message before helping him. Another worker there is notably rude, but tries to make it a joke - it's not funny. I love coffmans, but today I left and me and my boyfriend thought the same thing. What's up with this off putting staff?

I love this small, friendly local restaurant. Hubby and I enjoy their breakfast on Saturday mornings. My fave is the creamed, chipped beef. I make this recipe and receive a lot of compliments, so it is a real treat to go out and find it where it's as good as if not better than my homemade version! If you are looking for a fancy, frilly, uptown joint, don't go here. If you are looking for hometown goodness, where good locals go to enjoy tasty food in a clean, tidy setting, this is your place.

Very small looking from the outside but plenty of seating on the inside. Very friendly staff and they good was AMAZING. Today was our first visit. They did a GREAT job. A+++
